PERRIN Rotated Turbo Tuner Kits are designed for customers that are looking to add 300-750 wheel horsepower. Each kit includes: intake system, 3" downpipe, boost tube connection for front mounted intercoolers, and all other parts needed for installation for those who already have an FMIC.
The stock turbo location has a narrow pathway under the intake manifold for the intake. This slim path only has room for a small turbo with a 2.4” inlet. PERRIN Rotated Turbo Kits place the turbo in the optimum position, rotating and mounting the turbo away from the intake manifold, creating space for larger turbos and external wastegates. All while maintaining smooth transitions from up-pipe to downpipe.
The PERRIN Rotated Turbo Kit Cold Air Intake System comes with a 3" red or black textured powder coated intake tube that pulls fresh cold air from the inner fender. A washable, high flow foam filter element filters the air charge while eliminating any restrictions for large turbo applications. Each intake includes: silicone adapters, vacuum hoses, and fittings for all crank case breathers.
The PERRIN Rotated Turbo Kit Uppipe is formed from 2" 304 stainless steel tubing which is precision mandrel bent, eliminating the need for a flex joint. PERRINs 1/2" CNC flanges are machined from 304 stainless steel and counterbored for smoother transitions. The external wastegate is precision TIG welded to the uppipe with a smooth transition from uppipe to wastegate for increased exhaust flow.
The PERRIN Rotated Turbo Kit Downpipe is formed from CNC mandrel bent 3" 304 stainless steel tubing with 1/2" CNC machined flanges. The PERRIN wastegate dump tube features a slip fit that allows for quick removal of the downpipe or turbo charger while recirculating exhaust gases back into the exhaust system, eliminating the risk of under hood fires. Fully TIG welded, this downpipe is ready to attach to any factory replacement catback exhaust.
The PERRIN Turbo Kit is designed around the popular Tial 44mm and Precision Turbo 46mm wastegates. Both wastegates feature v-band inlet and outlet flanges that are 100% interchangeable with our kits. Other V-band style wastegates, like the Turbosmart Compgate 45, offer other compatible options.
Our kit is designed to fit popular Garrett GT turbos ranging in horsepower from 400-750HP. Blouch Performance Turbo, ATP, Precision Turbo, and Tial Sport all offer turbos that will fit as well. Any GT style, T3 Inlet, with a 3" 4-bolt outlet turbine housing will work.
The PERRIN Rotated Tuner Kits are able to produce as much HP as the turbo you choose allows. All PERRIN Turbo Kits require a vent to atmosphere type blow of valve, proper fueling & custom ECU tuning.
All PERRIN Turbo Kits can make more power than your engine can handle. We highly recommend having a properly built engine that is able to handle your desired horsepower levels.
All PERRIN Turbo Kits is designed for a PERRIN Front Mounted Intercooler. Other Front Mounted Intercooler kits or Top Mount Intercooler kits will work but may require custom piping.
Vehicles with 5-speed transmissions will require minor grinding of transmission casting for clearance and placing a soft bend in the dip stick sleeve for clearance.
Some 2005 STI models may require minor grinding of a small 1"x1" casting that protrudes from the transmission casting for downpipe clearance. Chat or email tech for additional information
