Shipping Leader
Full-Time Immediate Opening (North Plains, OR March 2024 )
We are looking for a Shipping Lead who will support the shipping department with day to day activities associated with shipping, packaging, miscellaneous customer service and support activities. You should have a proficiency in UPS, USPS, FedEX and or LTL Freight coordination. You must have the ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with a minimum of direction, and be extremely detail oriented.
Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving:
You will help prepare items for shipment. Addressing and shipping merchandise or materials, receiving, packing, and unpacking, weighing, verifying, and arranging for the transportation of products.
Quality:
We expect you to be “picky” when it comes to ensuring the quality of orders. Accuracy of part numbers and qty of items is vital.
Dependability:
An order fulfillment specialist must always be on time and able to work long hours on their feet.
Communication:
You will work directly with an order picker ensuring they are fully supported and communicate with several co-workers in different departments who will be looking for information such as quotes, tracking numbers and estimates.
Cleanliness:
Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times. Light custodial maintenance of bathroom facilities when needed.
Qualifications:
- 18 Years of Age
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- Fluent English Communication Skills
- Ability to Routinely lift 30-50 lbs.
- Current Resume
- Pass Pre-employment Drug Screen for all Non-legal Substances
- Submit to Criminal Background Check at hiring
Preferred Skills / Education:
- 2+ years of prior experience in shipping, experience as a Lead is a plus
- UPS Worldship, Fishbowl Inventory, Endicia Platinum Shipper, and freight coordination
- Forklift Operation Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to Perform in Fast-paced environments
- Understanding the Importance of Asking for Help when Needed
- Interest in Automotive Products and Vehicles
Wages and Benefits:
$20.00-22.00/hr

Mon-Thu 7am to 5:30pm (Three Day Weekends)

This is position works intimately with the Purchasing Manager. Direction will be given on working with our vendors on procuring needed goods and services to complete our automotive products.
Note: While prior experience is helpful, this is an entry level position and we provide training.

- Producing Quote Requests and Creating Purchase Orders
- Vendor Communication. Including confirming prices, quantities and timelines.
- Inventory management software usage
- Reconciling Invoices and Packing Slips
- Preparing outbound products to Vendor outsourcing
